  • Mobile phone charges

    Hi,
Hello to everyone in this Forum and all who contribute to this site.
This is my first time here and I find it interesting.

I have a hassle since May, with Orange (internet) -Wireless.

I went out to saudi arabia in late February, and I was with Orange, I set up a roaming charge.
However Orange wireless would not operate (per their dongle), so I purchased a PAYG system in Saudi, called "Al Jawal" it came with "Dongle " and SIM Card, and I used it sucessfully until April 19th, using card to-ups when required.
I moved to outside Jubail on 19th April and lost all signals including my mobile.
I left Saudi on 2nd May, returning to the UK via Barhain.
At home I have BT broadband.
On 17th May I received a bill from Orange for approx £2400.00 for internet usage between 8th May and 12th May, Yes for 4 days !
4 days after I was back in UK.

Obviously I contested this bill, sending them photos of the Al Jawal dongle and SIM card, details of my flight to Uk on 2nd May, copies of my purchase Invoice and luckily two top up cards I had, normally they would be thrown away.
I was told that foreign systems may delay sending details of usage, but I said why are the dates and times clearly shown as 8-12 May, and you were able to bill me on 15th May, even though incorrectly? If delayed would such not show April or March dates and times.?
Some of the times were in the middle of the night, and even if I was using their system I would be asleep, and I dont sleep walk !
I was working on a Petro/chem site and used the company Pc from 6.00am to 6.pm and some of the times, even if I had used their system are during my work and travel time.
I had not lost the Orange system, I still have it here.
Orange have been oppresive and very difficult to deal with.
I have struggled since May with them and finally after fighting off a Debt Collection agency, and Orange have put a marker on my Credit Record whilst I am in dispute with them, I have sent a complaint to CISAS.
Orange have erred somewhere, yet persist, at one point a representitive on speaking to my female partner by phone, said- he must have been streaming porn movies!- I am partcularily annoyed about that remark, even if it was intended as a joke
    Any suggestions ?

    Regards,

    Farigaig

What was the outcome of the complaint to CISAS?
