  • Hello

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to say hi. Thinking of claiming back Bank Charges but slightyly concerned as I still use my account to pay my pages into.

Is it a good idea to put in a claim whilst still banking with them? I also have my mortgage with them as well. Oh sorry!!! The 'them' in this case is Halifax

    Re: Hello

Hi WOD and welcome to Beagles.

You should submit your complaint to the Halifax as soon as you can, it will not affect your account or mortgage.

Do you already have a list of charges they have taken from you and how much?

Do not enter a claim into Court, you would be wasting your time as all cases are stayed pending the Supreme Court ruling. If you qualify inder hardship terms then you may be able to recover some of the charges to assist you with your financial hardship under the terms of the waiver.

I would suggest starting a thread in the Halifax forum and give us as much info as possible. You will receive some excellent help and advice to help you here.
Any opinions I give are my own. Any advice I give is without liability. If you are unsure, please seek qualified legal advice.
