          Re: hello

On forums, sticky's are generally there as they give information. For example, the normal running of threads is that they are in chronological indexing. so threads or posts from yesterday will be overtaken by threads from today. However, if it is a sticky, it will always be at the top of the forum.
Amethyst is Admin and I can confirm is a real person.

You want my T Shirt . Been there, asked the question and felt a right idiot when it was answered. Don't worry, we have all been there.
Ok, I guess the nitty gritty now, is it bank/credit card claim? Or is it hassle with a Debt Collection Agency?

                    Re: hello

ok, been contacted by Equita for non payment of a parking ticket from 08/08 its one which i forgot all about due to moving , change of address, i have the origal ticket and accept all my fault. On 16/4/09 i received a Bailiff Removal notice and a contact name and number, so called explained i am now out of work due to credit crunch and asked how to proceed. The bailiff asked for family or friends to pay of the outstanding ammount now at £385.08.
But everyone is in the same boat as me at the moment. Today i got a removal notice althought i am only renting a room from a friend of mine at the moment so i called Equita and was told that the only person who can deal with my case is my named bailiff and i haved called him twice today but no reply but have left messages but hte letter states a visit will happen this week end, i want to settle this with part payments, is this the usaul sort of thing and do bailiffs have to accept an offer of some form of payment.

Is this a council parking ticket or a private firm?

                          Re: hello

You need to write to Equita using the SAR in this link Bailiff Guide - Legal Beagles

Equita will have added their own fees to this debt and you need to find out how much and what for, but you will need to pay at least something. Magistrate court fines should be treated in the same was as your mortgage/rent, council tax - as a priority debt.

You need also to point out that the property you are living in is not yours and that you are simply renting a room.

Thanks for your help on this. I have now sent in SAR request letter and used Equitas page to send them email asking for payment terms of £20.00pcm, so will see what happens next.
While i was talking on phone to Coventry City Parking Services the address they gave me for all of the reminders they sent to me was actually the wrong address so no wonder i did not get any of them.Is this any form of help for me, not that i want to avoid paying just that i may beable to have cots reduced. Now £385.08.:beagle:

God i want this out of the way what a pain in the rear this is, my heart goes out to anyone with similar problems,

                            Thanks again

Not really, as you've already said - you received the original parking ticket.

Wait and see what happens next and even if Equita do not answer you, send the money anyway.
