My mother went into a care home after being found in an alleyway with a head injury after falling. She was taken to hospital and eventually sent to a care home for assesment. She was found to be incapable of taking care of herself and permanently admitted to care. She has undiagnosed dementia. I dealt with all of her financial stuff, like telling the council she no longer needed the house and closed all her bills. I now have control of her money via a social services agreement. I do not have POA. This all happened in July of 2025
Last night I received this, below. What are my rights? I have no idea when this is from as all bills were paid by direct debit until I was sure she had permanently left the house. RE: OUTSTANDING Liability Order - Council Tax - £261.77
