    Re: MINT CARD

It`s my own oppinion only, I would photo copy the letter you have from court and send it to the both of them recorded delivery showing that the debt is paid in full and that you do NOT owe them anything and that if they continue to harrass you, you will have no choice but to take legal action against them for the distress and harassment they causing you..

Hi Victoria and welcome to the site,

Can you give us some more details please:

Who was the original creditor, was it just mint or is anyone else involved ?
      How much for ?
Who is the debt collector chasing this ?
Are you just getting letters from the debt collector or are they phoning you as well ?
in fact as much background info that you can.

Hi Victoria, thanks for registering, I assume you received my email.

I will post the original email and response from your initial contact.

        Dear Sirs

I got in debt with my mint card £792, I am [edited for confidentiality] and was not opening my mail,
Mint passed my debt to Moorcroft Debt Collectors and they took me to court, and in
the end I owed £1474 approx which I have paid in full at Preston County Court on 15 October 2008.
I have a receipt for this from the Court, and they say they sent it to Moorcroft at the end
of October 2008, but Moorcroft and Mint are still harassing me for the original amount,

Mint even phoned me yesterday 14/4/09 to ask for the money, and said I can pay £66 per month I keep telling them where and
when it was paid but they wont leave me alone, what can I do now, the Court in Preston said that
Mint and Moorcroft should contact them, but I have told them this and they refuse to do so.
Mint even refuse to contact Moorcroft who are the ones the money went to last October.

No wonder the banks are in such a mess.

Hope you are able to advise Thank you
