  • Old debt advice

Hi everyone, new to this group hoping you can help me.
have just received a long letter from a company called PRA Group. Saying I owe them £2,807.58. From a debt they have taken over from GE Capital (first national trinity finance).
Remember having a debt 20 years ago or so and sure it wasn’t for this amount. I’m shocked and obviously worried.
what’s your advice can anyone give me any suggestions

    Hi MADELINE08

    Welcome to LB

If you haven't made a payment or admitted the debt in writing in the last 6 years, then it maybe statute barred, providing
they haven't obtained a CCJ (even if they have a CCJ. it doesn't help them, as they may have left it too long to pursue).
The likelihood is that it's statute barred.

Send the following letter, make sure you get Proof of Postage.
