How does the Law stand with regard to people suffering from Dementia causing criminal damage to property? Is it the responsibility of Social Services who should help prevent this from happening by ensuring the appropriate care is in place for them?

Social services do not have a general legal duty to prevent people with dementia damaging other people's property.
All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

Criminal damage should mean Police getting involved who will hopefully be sensitive to the circumstances
