A relative asked their MP to help them have information that the Police hold about them destroyed. The MP said he would write to the Police, but did not say exactly WHO he was writing to. He has now received a letter back from the Police and has sent it to the relative. This letter has no name on it who wrote it or sent it. They have also said that they cannot give the MP any details about data they hold as it would be a breach of the data laws. It all sounds like a cover up, and suspiciously like the MP didn't write at all, but one of his staff has. The relative asked the MP for the caseworker's name, and he didn't reply. Any advice on what to do next, please?

Write back to the MP, explain that your issue has not been resolved.
If your issue is not investigated you will lodge a complaint with the
Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards.
