this just came in the post today. it says that i’d have to pay for the court fees and legal costs. should i just pay now as they wouldn’t be losing any money as i would have to pay for it all as well as the fine??

My advice is as before. It's just one of their standard letters trying to frighten you into paying money you don't owe. They omit the important fact that you could only be liable for the "the court fees and legal costs" if (1) Primark [not RLP] actually started a court action against you (which they haven't done and is very unlikely to happen) AND (2) Primark won their case against you in court (also very unlikely to happen).

So if I were you I would continue to ignore the letters. We've seen this letter many times before and no-one has ever come back reporting that any court case was actually started after they had ignored it.

Their letter omits the fourth and most important option you have, which is to continue ignoring them!

I would continue to ignore it.

Even in ther highly unlikely event Primark started court proceedings you would have plenty of time to deal with it before it ever got to court or caused you any problems.

It might be an idea to start your own thread, so advise can be provided.
