I have been given 3 PCN'S in the space of one week, none of which i did. There is no other person who drives my car, so i reported it to met police as a car clone issue but they responded saying they're satisfied it has not been cloned. I have responded to the letters saying i cannot provide driver details because i genuinely dont know who it could have been but they keep responding with the same thing saying that i have to provide the driver details or it will be taken to court as a failure to provide driver details. I don't know what to do now, i have no way to show who the driver could be as the pictures are not clear and i do not want to lose a case for something i did not do.

Are all the s172s for speeding offences recorded by a speed camera?
Do you have any points on your licence at the moment? All opinions expressed are based on my personal experience. I am not a lawyer and do not hold any legal qualifications.

Where was your car on the date/times of the three driving offences and what (if any) evidence do you have to support where the car was?Originally posted by F A View PostI have been given 3 PCN'S in the space of one week, none of which i did. There is no other person who drives my car.

In response to all the questions:
Yes they are all recorded by a speed camera, they have provided pictures of the car but i cant see who the driver was as it only shows the back of the car.
I dont have any points on my licence
For all three offences the location was different, but were near traffic lights on main roads where the speed was max 20mph.
I dont have any evidence to show where the car was - i didn't have my gps on to keep a history of my location, i do have a car tracker but its of no help as it only keeps data for the last 3 days

Worst case scenario you are prosecuted for failure to provide information and plead not guilty then have to convince the magistrates it was not you. The evidence does not need to be gps. If you travel to work and can prove the car was in the carpark for example (office cctv?) or did you buy petrol somewhere on one of the days in a location too far away to have reached the advised location? Why have the police said the plate was not cloned? What makes them so sure? What speeds are involved in the 20mph limits. This is a very strange situation.

That doesn't really answer my question: where was YOUR car (not the alleged cloned car) on the dates/times of each of the three traffic offences? Was it parked at home? At work? On the way to somewhere?Originally posted by F A View PostFor all three offences the location was different, but were near traffic lights on main roads where the speed was max 20mph.

All 3 of them were around 5/6 am, my car was parked up outside my house however i have no ring doorbell or anything to prove it was there nor do my neighbours have one.
The police said they are satisfied it's not cloned but did not give a specific reason, just that they think the pictures i sent match up, however i realise my pictures dont show finer details such as the screws that could be different and i cant tell myself as the speed camera pictures are not clear.
The speeds were around 24 or 26 mph.
