    Hi HODEHO

    Welcome to LB

Did you request any documentation from the claimant?

You want Mediation (it's mandatory in any case)

You send a copy to the Court and a copy to the Creditors solicitor, make sure you get Proof of Postage.

Yes, they sent a load of paperwork but my original person helping said it still wasn’t sufficient or proof enough that they actually owned the debt. So I’m sure what to write in section D of the form now (suitability for determination without a hearing ) when I tick no?

'The evidence / information has to be explained to the Judge / Court in person.
There are specific points which need a full explanation.'

They have not provided deed of assignment which I understand is required.
Can you advise what I should state in d1 of the n180 and should I know formally request the DOS? Thanks

            a) So you put the address of your local Court, that's straightforward.

            D1
you should put the name and address of your local court (find here) and one of the following reasons:
Claimant: “Claimants Preferred Court pursuant to CPR 26.2A(4).”

            b) It would have been a good idea to request the documentation before you filed your Defence. Send a CPR 31.14 request.

Hi, apologies for not replying sooner. I did request but they didn’t send. However, I have now completed the N180 and sent to the court and the debt company with another letter asking them to provide the deed prior to the next step, being mediation. Thankyou.
I would like some help with the next part of the process though if you can help please? The mediation. I am
not sure what kind of things they ask or what I should answer.

The Mediation is informal (it's totally independent of the Courts),

The Mediator calls you, speaks to you, then will go and speak to the other party,
then speak to you etc. The Mediator is 'neutral' so they take no sides, but try
to help both sides resolve the matter. Clearly you need to do some
preparation, write down what you want to say,
