My good friend has asked me to ask, prior to his joining legal beagles, for some advice and, I wonder if you can advise. Many thanks.
He has been living with his partner for 2 1/2 years. They have bought a house together and have rented out their own properties and are unable to agree separation terms.
i. She will not allow him access to collect his property in the house. What are his rights.
ii. Is he entitled to claim for all the money he remortgaged to purchase his share of the house, or only the current valuation of the house.
iii. He has paid for works to the house they purchased, as well as other properties she owns, can he claim for this. He has also paid off her credit card debt, can he claim for this
to be repaid.to him.
iv. She remortgaged to pay for her share of their house rennovations, and he counter signed the mortgage agreement, is he liable for the repayments.
v. She has been renting out rooms on airbnb, does this come into the equasion.
They are having mediation to try to agree terms for this. She does not wish to pay him in full value, and he is unable to afford a solicitor.
Thank you very much. Philomena
