  • Voluntary termination of finance with startline query

Hello, I wonder if you can help. I am looking to give my car back to startline motor finance as I've now paid over 50percent. Whilst the car is mechanically sound and does have MOT for a few months. I had a new clutch last year but have lost the receipt of the work done.
The car is clean and not worn on the inside. However, I do have some paintwork chippings on the outside. I think this is due to the pollen from the trees by my house. However I can't be sure. The car is red so expecting some fading.

The car is now 10 years old and just reached 100k I had the car 3 years ago on 63k.
I am now panicking on whether to send an email to ask for this to be collected as I cannot afford a new spray job for just a few paint marks. Is this something they can scrutinise you on?
Do I have to have a new MOT before handing over?
Any help would be great. Thanks

    Hi
    Welcome to LB

Without reading the finance agreement details that you signed up for, your questions are difficult to answer

The car is now 10 years old with 100k miles on the clock, so the company should expect a fair amount of wear and tear

Does the agreement mention the car to be returned with a valid Mot? Does it state a new mot is required if the current one expires within one month?

There is info about Voluntary Termination under SHORTCUTS on the Forum Page.
