  • Invalid pcn now I have n180 form to fill out

    Hi, I received a pcn for allegedly leaving a shopping site which I didn't so I contested it but they were adamant I did well anyway,I spoke to one of their claim handlers who said they might take me to court if I don't pay so I said would you pay a fine for something you didn't do he couldn't answer me anyway I filled out the court letter which came and explained that I didn't leave the site and that I requested proof from the ukcp people which they failed to do but now I have a n180 form to fill out and something about a impartial mediator if you could help me out any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

    So you have received a court claim and filed your defence.

    By what date do you need to return the N180?
    Answers are ;

    D1 No (there are matters of fact to be proven)
    E1,2,3, 4 complete as appropriate
    F1 your local home court address
    F2 no
    F3 one (if only you will attend court, but the number if you have witnesses who can state you never left the site

            E1 I assume you will be attending the mediation, so insert your name and contact details
            D1 tick "no"

            Send the form by post (first class with free certificate of posting from post office) to both court and claimant.

            You will eventually then receive instructions from court, which will include orders to produce a witness statement.
            If you wish we can review your statement for you, to ensure the format is correct.
            Suggest you start preparing it now so you don't have to rush it.

                    Hi just to keep you in the loop, I had the mediation phone call where I was asked if I would be interested in negotiating with the ukpc people which I replied to the mediation guy that there wasn't really anything to negotiate as they say I left the site and I know that I didn't so I left him with that,after a out 15 minutes he rang me back and said ukcp have offered a settlement of £60 which I replied I have no intention of paying them for something I did not do so a discount is not an option so I am now waiting for the next stage possibly a court appearance,I will let you know how I get on or what happens next.

                        everything proceeding as normal.
                        The case should be allocated to the small claims track
