Hi,
I recently went through a divorce, which has been challenging, and I moved out of the house. I updated my address with most contacts, but I recently received a penalty charge notice from the council that was sent to my ex-husband’s address. He did not notify me or the council about our separation, nor did he provide my updated address.
This situation continued until I encountered a bailiff at my door, only to later discover that a County Court Judgment (CCJ) had been raised against me. It appears my ex-husband waited until the bailiffs arrived before having them serve me.
Could you please advise on how to resolve this matter? I am eager to address it promptly, as I do not want a CCJ on my records.
Thank you for your help.
