To prevent the child who the deceased was estranged and fallen out with making a claim against the will, the deceased should bequeath that child a small pecuniary. This shows that child has been considered and not forgotten
Apologies, I seem to be responding in the wrong place. The circumstances are pretty much as you describe. No mention at all in the Will of 2 siblings or their children. We sent a Lark request just to see what notes were taken . The timing is questionable regarding the execution of the Will.

I am trying to avoid unnecessary stress for the parties involved as one has taken ill so if this predicament sounds like it might not be successful I will leave it alone, but we are still interested in the file contents.

We have taken advice and it would appear on the face of things that there are good grounds for a claim. We have sent the LvN and await the file. Does anyone know if it can be redacted by the solicitor or not?
