Hi

I have a little problem.

I have somehow not registered with my water Authority and this state has existed for 15 years.

My water Authority is now sending letters to the property, asking for Homeowner details and threatening cutting off supply.

I have no problem with registering to move forward, but 15 years of accrued debt would be financially impossible

Can anyone suggest a course of action.

The debt is generally limited to the current year plus 6 previous years (under the statute of limitations)
There is no limit to the size of the debt and the water company may take court action if you do not pay.
You could try negotiating increased monthly direct debits to pay off the 6 year debt
