I’ve worked for my employer for 30 plus years. I’ve been diagnosed with occupational asthma and informed my employer of this condition. Within 4 days I have seen the works nurse and I’m now waiting those the occupational doctor. I’ve was suspended on pay straight after seeing the nurse till the get the doctors assessment. Then they will meet to discuss what options there are available for me. The company has just gone through redundancies process and I’m worried what they can do to me if no job are available.
The company was approached by the DWP about me getting the Industrial illness benefits but they told them I’ve not been exposed too any stainless steel fumes all the time I’ve worked there. If there I exposers too any harmful fumes etc why won’t they have moved me to somewhere away from my normal work station .
i do have video evidence to show the fumes that I’m exposed to stainless steel fumes and dry grinding dust.
can anyone give me advice on what happens if they terminated my employment due to no jobs available ?
can I use the video evidence to back up my claim with the DWP about my IIDB claim
any advice would be welcome thank you
