Primark employees investigating

I worked at Primark, and during my time there, I made some mistakes that I now deeply regret. On a few occasions (approximately 3 to 5 times), when friends came to my till to make purchases, I acted improperly. I first processed their payment, but immediately afterward, I processed a return and refunded the money to them without taking the products back.
In September 2024, Primark discovered these incidents and called me for an employee investigation. They reviewed CCTV footage and asked me about what had happened. I admitted everything honestly. Primark informed me that they would issue a warning and provide further details within two days. However, I apologized for my actions and requested that they terminate my employment, which they did.
Last week, in November 2024, I received an unexpected call from the police. They informed me that they are investigating the issue related to Primark. The officer, a female constable, explained that I would have access to free legal counsel and that she would act as my advisor during this process.
As an international student who is about to graduate next month (December), I am extremely anxious and afraid about the potential consequences. I plan to apply for a Post Graduate Visa, which allows me to stay in the UK for two more years, but I am worried about how this situation might affect my visa.
Specifically, I am concerned about the possibility of getting a criminal record, being deported to my home country, or facing any other consequences that could impact my future. Since receiving the call from the police, I have been emotionally and mentally unstable due to the stress and uncertainty.
