HI all. I have shopped in M and S for years and spent alot of money. I went in there today and bought some trousers, and then picked up a couple of other things hung them on the trolley as I was going to try them on. My daughter rang and was having a crisis, I also was suffering with a migraine, I was talking to her for a while got distracted and walked out with the clothes still hanging on the trolley. I had not realised and was walking towards my care it was pouring with rain and if i had got to my car I would have noticed and taken the things back However a store detective came up to me and I realised what I had done and i was mortified ! I was so embarrassed I got taken to the CCTV office and gruelled, I explained it was not intentional, i understand that people may say this but it was completely genuine and i offered to pay for the goods immediately. They decided they wouldnt phone the Police and that their solicitors would be in touch and let me know how much I have to pay and would not let me pay for the goods. I am so upset I cant rest, I have never committed a crime in my entire life. I have been banned from the shop I am so so upset. Thank you for any reassurance you can offer me please..
