I was caught shop lifting in sainsburys 5th October given banning letter and no police involvement. I haven't recieved a civil recovery letter and civil recovery company have no record of me. Spoke with the store and manager says sometimes they don't pursue CR? So worried about police

Unless it over £50.00 the police aren't called. Nothing is likely to happen, you might get 3/4 'speculative invoices' you might not. If you do, ignore them unless you get anything 'meaningful'.
There are lots of places you can get help, 'food banks', your MP etc.
