Hi, i really need someone help, today i stole one thing from john lewis in trafford, i dont know why i did that, i am having a money problem right know, and i’m under so much pressure, i know that was a really stupid thing that i did, but after i left the shop, the floor manager stalked me and in another shop he got me with ine security guy and took me back to the store. He got my Id and all my informations even my sister’s car registration number. He banned me and give me letter that i have to wait for a RLP Letter that they will charge me. And another thing is that they banned me from Traford centre as well. But i am working in one of the shop in tue Trafford centre. I couldn’t say anything and i sign all the paper they gave me. Can someone help me what should i do? Because i can not loose my job. I really need that job, but i am really scared how am i gonna go to the trafford for my job shifts?

Who banned you from Trafford Centre? Was it the management of Trafford Centre?

No it was one security guy. They got my sister car reg number that i used yesterday. And today she went at work with her car and they got her as well and told them your sister banned for 3 years but they did not give me any letter or anything. Yesterday they told me i am banned for 12 months. But today they told to my suster i am banned for 3 years and because they have the reg car number, i dont know what should i do!!

If the security guy was working for Trafford Centre, ie not just for John Lewis, he may have authority to ban you from the whole of Trafford Centre.

As the incident only happened yesterday they may be writing to you by post so it may be a few days before you get a letter from them.

If you don't try, you won't ever find out.

Does the shop where you work have other branches in the area? Could you ask to be transferred?

Is your sister's car so unique? How many cars of that make, model and colour park at that shopping centre every week?
