Hello,
I received a Letter of Claim from Kearns Solicitors along with a reply form. It is for a credit card debt from 2020. I have 20 days left to reply. I'm looking for advice on the process in responding to Kearns.
I'm thinking ticking the box saying I don't know if the debt is mine. I'm also thinking of doing a DSAR with the original creditor and requesting a CCA from Link Financial. Also, I think I need to request the Notice of Assignment from Kearns Solicitors acting on behalf of Link/LC Asset 2. I will also mention to Kearns that I'm exploring debt advice in the event that it's proven the debt is actually mine.
Can someone please let me know if these steps are correct?
I believe this letter is a pre-action letter so nothing to do with court yet?
Thanks for any advice provided.
