  • OR v Trustee

    Hello

i I have recently bankrupted a builder and the matter is now with the OR. However I have been approached by two seperate trustees wanting to take over management of the case and I was wondering (a) why, other than they make money (b) the advantages to appointing a trustee ?

    Any help much appreciated

Ignore the ambulance chasers. If the OR thinks there is a prospect of worthwhile recovery, a local Insolvency Practitioner may be invited to take on the case.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Hi. Thanks that was my gut feeling. There are easily enough assets according to the first report showing assets v money owing so I have questioned the two trustees that have approached as it was my suspicion that they are purely after their own fees which seemed unnecessary
