  • Injury claim

My daughter is trying to claim for injuries suffered to her and her 2 children resulting from a traffic accident. She has been told ,she cannot claim for the children due to bias. Is this normal if so who should make the claim ?

Whoever told her that is wrong. She can seek appointment as 'litigation friend' for the children (see CPR Practice Direction 21: https://www.justice.gov.uk/courts/pr...rt21/pd_part21).

Your daughter should consult a solicitor.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Thank you for your response. She has now spoken to a solicitor and will hopefully start proceedings shortly

That is good news. I am sure she will be in good hands.
