I'm not sure if anyone would know as it seems a bit out of the ordinary. I had a car accident early this year where I admitted fault, no question about it i owned up to my mistake. I didn't make a claim on my insurance but the other guy did claim, I'm wondering if i lose some of my "no claims". Just to clarify i didn't claim so i would assume i wouldn't lose any but knowing the other guy did claim im not sure if there's a small clause that would mean i still lose some of my "no claims". I've tried searching for answers around but nothing is giving advice regarding my particular question.

When you say "...knowing the other guy did claim..." do you mean the other driver made a claim against you? The other driver can't make a claim under your policy. They are making a claim against you and your insurer is paying it under the Third Party section of your policy.

I assume you notified the accident to your insurer. They will probably say that is a notification by you that you are claiming under the policy - ie you are asking your insurer to deal with the third party claim the other driver is making against you. So it will count as a claim under your policy for NCB purposes.
