  • Please could someone advise me?

It's a long story... I am with a debt management company. About a month ago, they contacted me, to inform me that they had received an email from Opos, acting on behalf of a debt collection agency. I had and still have no idea as to what they are referring too.. because the only debts I have are those that I have informed the DMC... fast forward and I keep getting asked if I want to add it to my current plan.. I said no, as I don't have any other debt. It's all seems really weird, as Opos won't put into black and white.. what the alleged debt relates to.. all I know it is a debt that dates back some 23 years. I have even had a letter from the debt company asking me to pay some money and the debt will be closed.. and I thinking why am I having to pay for something, that I have absolutely no knowledge of.

I have contacted C.A.B, and Experian for advice, but no one seems to give me a direct answer on what I am supposed to do. I have written an email to opos, and had a c.c of said email sent to my debt management company. The email I sent I stated I have no knowledge of what they are contacting me about, and that I am disputing it as a non legitimate debt. To which I go a reply.. stating was I refusing to pay?

All this has given me a bad headache, and i feel like im running about, and not getting advice. Could anyone please tell, how I go about telling Opos and the company they are "helping" that it isn't me.. how do I get them to stop mithering me... I would be really grateful. thank you

Write a letter. Explain that it is not you. Ask them please to stop harassing you.

I do not know what mithering is.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
