  • CCJ Claim Form

Out of the blue we have received a Claim Form for a debt we think belongs to a company we had a loan with. We have not received any written default notices and it looks like the debt was sold to LC Asset 2 SARL Grand Duchy of Luxemberg. The solicitors are Kearns Solicitors that have been ringing me daily twice a day for 8months
we are teachers so can’t take calls during normal hours. The date of the claim is 5th July 2024. We’ve been unable to contact the courts as they don’t pick up. We’ve spoken to Kearns who sounded like they wanted to help as we can’t settle the debt. The debt is around £7k. We have no idea on what the actaul amount is and the original debt was owned by Chetwood Financial Ltd. It seems we have already been given a CCJ in June. What is the best way to tackle this

    Hi Darkhorse

    Welcome to LB

    Try not to worry.

Your post doesn't make sense to me.

'The date of the claim is 5th July 2024'.

'It seems we have already been given a CCJ in June'.

Defend the claim. Start by completing and returning the acknowledgement of service form. Do that NOW.
