  • Bankruptcy petition submitted 2 hours earlier than the judgement order

    Hi,

I have submitted a bankruptcy petition against someone that owes me money, but I submitted 2 hours earlier than the order, will this really matter?

The debtor hasn't made any attempts in the mean time to make any attempts to pay, and was given 4 weeks after the SD2 hearing was dismissed, so I can't really see how this would make a material difference, and he hasn't made any attempts to make any payments since either, and to date we haven't been given a bankruptcy petition hearing which I expect him to oppose as its all he ever does.

    Thanks.

    Do you have a question?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read the Judiciary's handbook for litigants in person: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

I think the question mark gives it away!

That is helpful. I assume that it is you that obtained the judgement. And no, it should not matter.
