Lex AutoLease default

Hey, I have found this forum via Google due to issues with LexAutoLease. They overcharged me back in 2022 fair an early termination/milage settlement - thankfully I had a weird feeling that settlement was not right and reported to financial ombudsman, who managed to get 2k removed! Anyhow, during the investigation process; Lex decided to put a default on my credit file. The financial ombudsman, managed to get this removed as they should not have done it. The whole process took over a year to be resolved, however I refused to pay until the default was removed - which they were fine with. The default remained on my file for sometime and Feb this year was finally removed. I kept trying to pay the outstanding balance and was either unable to get through or kept missing their calls - as they call at times I was on duty (I am a nurse) - so hours I work. Anyhow I kept emailing asking for a date to get them to call me as they could not take payment over the phone and had to get a specialist to call me bk - they wanted bacs transfer, which I was not willing to do as I did not trust this company! Anyhow they have now written the debt as a bad debt and filed a default on my account - I managed to raise another complaint and they have come bk and said it’s final. The financial ombudsman is now looking into the way they have behaved as this just isn’t right - I did not know they were writing it as a bad debt and I have all the emails where I have chased to make the payment. My credit was 960 with no defaults and now its sitting at 410 with this default. I have a business and home owner so I cannot afford to have this hanging around for 6 years. Can anyone help or am I doomed with this for the next 6 years?!
