BMW Financial sercices

This company have commenced legal action in Scotland to recover a car whos ownership is disputed. There was no letter before action and I have submiotted a SAR requesting this document from BMW and the lawyers they've instructed in Scotland.

IS there any way I can stop legal proceedings until I receive the documents requested in the SAR?
