I had an Amazon Credit Card through NewDay, I defaulted & the debt was sold to Link Financial. 2 defaults for this debt show on my credit file one from NewDay & one from Link. I paid off the debt in 2019 to Link & they updated my credit report to show the default is satisfied. The default under NewDay is still showing as unsatisfied, I contacted them asking them to update the record as the debt has been paid & they are refusing to do this. Is this right or should I take my complaint to the ombudsman? I was under the impression that once the debt was sold to a DCA that the original default should be zeroed anyway
Satisfied default showing as unsatisfied with original creditor
