    Hi i no someone who has worked all over the uk and stayed in b&b and friends family only over weekend she hasmt payed council tax over last 15 years but now wants to move back and rent a property what advice can anyone give as she is jobless but has money to move back and rent she doesnt no council tax number from years ago when she was jobless claiming benefit she wants to pay her 12 months council tax online but cant do it online without this number but she is worried she may be questioned why she hasnt paid it as she hasnt rented just stayed whereever she could

      I don't no - maybe the OP can contact the council's council tax department

        Not sure either.

        However my understanding in answer to the OP's question is that the person can contact your local council of where they are going to rent. They will register them and send a Council Tax bill with details of how to pay.

          council tax relates to the house not the person which is why I do not understand the post and think it is odd
