I need some advice please I have an inhibition on my property relating to a credit card I had years ago I was paying a regular amount but ended up having a stroke. The inhibition has been renewed every 5 years with the latest one being last month. My health is poor but the solicitor nolans have said cabot finance will keep it in place as the house has equity. I recently suffered another stroke last August but am struggling to find someone who can give me advice as interest in being charged every time inhibition is renewed many thanks

Firstly, I hope your health improves.

I take it you are in Scotland.

Have you asked Cabot to write off the debt? explain to them that you are in poor health, that you've had stokes, this is causing you stress and anxiety which isn't helping you. They might 'write it off'. Make sure you get Proof of Postage.

Write to them again as in post No. 2, but they should also stop charging interest, in your letter ask them why they've been charging interest when you health / circumstances aren't good.
