  • Debt Recovery Plus letter but no PCN letters or evidence

A letter arrived from Debt Recovery Plus claiming I owe £170 non-payment of a Parking Charge Notice from UK Parking Control Ltd. The offence was overstaying free time period and the car park had ANPR.
But I didn't receive any prior letters, PCN ticket or Notice to Keeper from UK Parking Control Ltd. The parking location was Forbury Retail Park Reading.

Also these letter were posted to my previous address which I left an year ago and moved to a different address last year April 2023. I immediately updated my new address on my driving license in April 2023 yet the letters were sent to the old address.

I have been trying to get in touch with DRP to know the details/evidences but the call never gets connected to a person even after waiting for an hour. Also reached out to UKPC (via email) who issued the PCNs, yet no response from them too.

Hence, wondering what is the best course of actions here? Please suggest how to proceed? Anyone with the similar experience from the past?

Any suggestion how to investigate this would be helpful.

    Thank you in advance.

altho' you updated your driving licence, did you update your car registration details as well?

When contacting the debt collectors and parking company do not identify the driver.

Send a Subject Access Request (template in SHORTCUTS panel on right) to UKParking
Write to DRP, telling them the alleged debt is in dispute and they should cease recovery activity and return the matter to their principals.

Come back here when you have a response
