    Hi Hiten909

    Welcome to LB

It's so the Judge / Court can give directions to both parties on the case. Things like which County Court (Location for Hearing), what and when documents need to be exchanged etc. So the Judge / Court can get input from the parties to reach agreement on the basics. The DQ you need to fill in and return is the one from the Court (solicitors sometimes send one out).

I am going to hazard a guess that you are a party to a court case.
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

Litigants in Person should download and read this: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf
