  • MET Parking Services - Stanstead Motorway Services - Court case pending

Hi, I'm accused of 'breach of contract' by parking (under 15mins) & entering a McDonalds 2019. In doing so I apparently 'exited/left the car park'. DCB Ltd have submitted a claim via the moneyclaim service & a court hearing is now pending. Could anyone advise on how I should present my case at court? Many thanks.

We will need to see the claim form and, if you still have it, the original parking charge notice.
First remove your name &; address and registration and reference numbers.

You say your court hearing is now pending, so what was your defence in full ?
Have you yet submitted your witness statement?

Depending on how far you progressed through the system there might be little to be done
except see how the judge conducts the case.

Suggest you have a read of the appropriate parts of this guide: https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/..._in_Person.pdf

Hi DES8, many thanks for responding so swiftly. I have a copy of the claim form and the defence submitted (possibly a 2nd/3rd gen. L B. template that found it's way to MSE website) & also a subsequent form submitted (requesting a court hearing.) The original penalty notice eludes me at the mo. I will redact personal details etc. from the forms & post them asap. The request for a court hearing was sent Royal Mail about a week ago so guess it will be at least few months before I get a date. Thanks again for your kind response. J
