  • Child arrangement agreement

My daughter was in a relationship and her partner had a child from a previous relationship and he had soul custody of his daughter.Sadly he was killed in a car accident last year since then her biological mother has moved back locally and now my daughter and the biological mother want to share custody 50/50
with the child staying with my daughter and her step brother what steps do we need to follow to get a arrangement written and legally binding so my daughter has some legal rights when it comes to her step daughter. It’s all very amicable and both parents agree with these terms we just need advice on what do to
    thank you

    Hi Joa

They can get an informal agreement setting out the arrangement and that can just be notarised (by a local notary). The agreement can be written in simple non legal language stating which person has the child when, who deals with practical things like passports, medical, school etc.

Or/ you can draft an Order to be sealed by your local family court, using Form C100 - on first page of the application it says 'Additional Information Required' and the fourth question down is - "Are you applying for an order to formalise an agreement (Consent Order)? Tick Yes.
This route does have court fees.

If you need further help on the wording etc, just ask
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
