    Money claims

    Is it legal to issue a money claims procedure for say £28,000 but you owe the defendant £1500?
    also can you claim if they are counter claiming for something eg damage to their property?

    Yes to both questions, the defendant can counterclaim.

    The court system is the means provided by the state to resolve disputes between citizens that cannot be resolved by other means.
