  • PCN received 15weeks late

Hi All,18th November 2023 i received a PCN from Nation car parks ltd for an alledged drop off at Gatwick South terminal on the 30th July 2023.

I don't understand why after 15 weeks i'm sent this £100 fine plus £70 debt recovery costs to be paid after all this time. In the letter it states we didn't hear from you within 14 days of the contravention hence the legal letter and extra associated costs! Today is the very first i know of this fine, can this be overturned as it's been 15 weeks?

Could you please post up a copy of the notice you have received, first removing identifying details but leaving in all dates and times

Is the vehicle registered with DVLA in your name

      Hi DES8,

I have attached THE ONLY documentation i have regarding this huge fine.
Also, NEVER received a PCN at all

The letter attached is from a firm of solicitors instructed to reclaim this debt but i wish to point out a few things...
      1: If i received a PCN i would've acted straightaway.
2: It's almost 15 weeks later and i receive a legal letter giving a final date of 13th December 2023 to pay this.

To upload a copy you might have to use a hosting site such as Imgur, and post a link to it.

Do not identify the driver when dealing with these people, nor on this site as it is often monitored by parking companies

I'm asking admin to delete your posts as the identity of the driver can be ascertained from them.

Send a SAR (example in the SHORTCUTS panel on the right of this page) to the parking company requesting in particular a copy of the original notice.(I have kept a copy)

I am assuming they are trying to transfer liability for the charge from the driver to you the keeper under their rights of PoFA2012.
However this is not possible because the airport grounds are not "relevant land" for the purposes of PoFA2012
But I need to see exactly what you have been sent before advising how you can tell them to politely go away
Post a copy when you receive it

EXC or ULA could you please delete jury66's posts as driver is identified

Hi, all i have is a letter from the firm of solicitors acting on behalf of the debt recovery people. I have this letter and need to ask is there another way for me to send this letter to this website? I scrubbed out all names and identifying details and still could not upload it.

I guess i have to contact this company tomorrow 20th Nov and ask them why wasn't the PCN sent out to my address?

Nothing arrived at my house from July 30th until yesterday, and that was a legal letter!!

You need to send a "Subject Access Request" to the parking company.
You can write to the solicitors, telling them you need to see the original notice and have requested it from the parking company.

You do not need to do anything else.
"Legal" letter from a solicitor is about as meaningful as a threatening letter from me demanding money

DO NOT IDENTIFY THE DRIVER (so edit your last post) because if they cannot identify the driver they probably can't make you pay anything
              DO NOT PHONE THEM
keep everything in writing (first class letter with free certificate of posting from post office.

Did you try using "imgur" to upload your letters?

Have you sent a "Subject Access Request" to NCP?
Have you written to BW Legal as suggested in post 7?

PS you have left your name and various reference numbers visible in the attachment.
                      Suggest you remove them

Hi DES8, i didn't show my name on last post but noted about the reference and registration numbers.
This is now corrected as members will see. Can someone please delete the image as i don't seem to be able to do this.
                          Thank you. letter-redacted4.jpg
