  • I am trying to find out how to unredact a document

    Hi Everyone

I asked for some documents after I had a disagreement with a public authority, they were sending out my personal data without my permission. I have a lot of redactions which are clearly unjustified. I complained but waste of time. Does anyone know the county court process to contest this? Every solicitor so far I have contacted has not wanted to take it up, offer advice, even at 350 pounds an hour.
Also, does a LA or a Surgery have the right to send out personal, non life threatening and non law breaking information without a client or a customers permission?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi GW

    Welcome to LB

Speak to the ICO, they have a chat facility, see if they can advise, they deal with data protection matters.

Thanks but unfortunately they are of no help, I might appeal their reply but it is so much hassle. They wont even write to the corp for their account.

You need to find out exactly what their Data Protection protocols / procedures are, when you do, you will know if they have breached them.

The following might help - https://www.bma.org.uk/advice-and-su...ers-under-gdpr

Thanks but the exemptions they are using [only two exist according to ICO website] are not medical. Nor [1] 'irrelevance', but stated as [2] 'personal', ie involves an unknown 3rd party. There is not a hint though that this is so in any part of it. Its power abuse by...
I have also caught the same person this week writing to a manager elsewhere and even concocting changes to my SAR data; that teenage data protection person had no right to go outside of their own organisation without my consent and gather information. Is it a breach of my privacy? Have written again to the ICO / complained

Unless you are a Celeb like Nigel Farrage, ICO are worse tahn useless. When he complained about his bank, he got a response the next day, and the bank CEO fired via ICO powers
When I sent a claim, they had not replied after 13 weeks; I had to cajole them; they, imo, are govt stooges

Raise a complaint, if you think the time it's taking is 'unreasonable', then tell them. Also if they think it will take longer to look into they should tell you.

Snap! Yes I did,and called out their two tier service, and told them their quango needs to be reformed; jumped up clerks on a gravy train, serving the rich. NHS England, are also useless and the clerks have no knowledge in depth online and wont reply from HO for over two months, and even then they ignored every question asked.
