    Hi,
Looking for advice to appeal against a parking charge notice. There were 3 people in my vehicle and 2 in the vehicle which we arranged to meet to swop motorcycles.. Neither of us knew about the parking restrictions and only found out after receiving parking charge notice. In that time we moved our van from one place to another in the same parking lot so that we could offload the motorcycle. We still hadn't noticed any signs about parking and ended up being there 10 minutes longer than allowed .The photos show that the vehicle was moved because the rear and front number plates obviously show it. What i am looking for is some advice on how to appeal and what to say.. Thanks in advance.

You can appeal simply by stating your case and the circumstances around it, as you have done here. However, I fear you will be wasting your time as the default answer by these type of companies is usually "no".

In these cases, I think it's really important to apply a "price" to your mental wellbeing as this will obviously be taking up mental bandwidth and causing you stress.

In view of that, it might be best to pay the parking fine and move on. Imagine how it would feel to get this off your plate by paying up and see if it feels wothwhile to continue on with it.

Not sure if that helps but I wish you luck in resolving this.

        Hi,
Thanks for your reply and suggesting to pay. Before joining this forum i gave this subject some thought and came to the conclusion that the notices about the parking weren't good enough to attract 5 peoples attention who are all drivers and therefore unfair to charge me. I have experienced parking restrictions in super markets, council car parks etc, but the notices have always been noticeable, so therefore should be challenged. In some of my research there are some companies who give a 10 minute overstay without penalty, which i wasn't aware.. If this company applied the same criteria i wouldn't have been charged, but this is not my argument only the poor signage . I'll try the appeal anyway, but was looking for some ideas how to approach them to help my cause and if anyone else have had the same experience. regards

If you appeal do not identify the driver.

In meantime post up a redacted copy of the NTK (leave in times and dates) and photo of parking signs.
There may be other grounds on which to fight this charge
