Huxie It’s called ‘tagging’. You start by typing the ‘@’ symbol and then the member’s username and a list will pop up and you select the member you’re tagging. You can practice by tagging yourself.

It seems that if you want to put the tag in the middle of a sentence Huxie then you just type the ‘@‘ followed by the username and don’t click on the popup list, otherwise it moves it to the start of your text.

Huxie so if I tag you like this how do you know I have done it? How does the forum system bring it to your attention?

It appears in your notifications. See the ‘1’ on the bell symbol at the top of the picture I’ve uploaded? I’ll tag you PallasAthena and you should now see a ‘1’ on your screen. Click it and it’ll take you to your notifications where you can click the thread where you’ve been tagged.

Yep, got it. Thanks. I thought that was probably how it worked, most forums I go on have something similar.
