Is this a scam

I had a letter from a company called e collect stating i owed them money from a subscription to c date that was not paid, i have not signed up to this c date site so i contacted citizens advice and they also thought it was a scam,i ignored the letter and i have now had one from a company called Themys & Dyke saying if i do not pay they will take me to court. All these companys are in Germany,the ammount owing is 260 euros.i live in the uk,can they take me to court or is it a scam
