  • Shoplifting but didn’t take anything

I was in M&S today and was tempted to take items without paying. I even had them in my bag. Change my mind and put them back. Did not leave with any items and no one attempted to stop me when I left. I did purchase other items while in the store and they would have my details. Can they contact me after I have left (with nothing) and charge me with shoplifting? I feel absolutely sick to my stomach to have done this

    Nothing taken so no.
Need to look at yourself and assess why you considered shoplifting, as if caught the knock on effects can be very serious.
Perhaps speak to a trusted friend.
