  • Damaged boundary wall

The boundary wall between my property and my neighbours has been damaged by my neighbours tree, they have cut the tree down and they agreed verbally to pay for the repair to the wall. My neighbour has sadly died and her son is now dealing with the estate, the son has said they will not pay for the wall repair. Just wandering if there is any legal grounds so I don’t need to pay for the wall repair?

The responsibility for the damage from the wall depends on the deeds, and on the facts, including the solvency of the estate.
