Not that the OP has said so directly, but sure as I can be, nobody else would know that it hasn't been reported.

The OP didn't report it so it has to be the cyclist.

the man in the car behind who was not impressed at what he saw? Or another cyclist?
Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.

I have to say I think it is probably the cyclist who wants to either a) claim or b) make a point about car drivers - or most likely both! I also agree however that some cyclists (note the word some) do ride very dangerously and recklessly in traffic and there are times when they just "appear" out of no where making accidents more probable. There may be some blame on both sides. Or there may not. Without seeing film of the incident who knows?

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but motor bikes / bikes etc have increased ridiculously due to deliver companies using them to deliver goods etc.

I've even spotted them taking short cuts through the park, that's a big no, no for obvious reasons.

I have no doubt he did, it was all about the claim money.

I do love a good assumption! And here we have two for the price of one.

Yes, but mine was the 'first'.

It would be 'naive' to think it wasn't the case, in some ways this is a 'classic',

The cyclist has gone home / work, he's explained to third parties (family and friends) what's happened. It's the 'why haven't you claimed? I would have etc'.

Of course just an assumption, but a lot of claims happen through such conversations.

On the day the cyclist was happy to 'write it off' as a bad experience.

We stand corrected, 3 it is.

At this rate, we'll need some 'button badges'.

Coming back a bit late... I am regularly telling my students that we often have to make assumptions but should always check/verify.
