Grandaughter sold her car. Sent a change of ownership to DVLA needless to say it was lost, the girl who purchased her car never registered for purchase, and from then starts the problems, she obtained from the DVLA a letter stating proving the date car was sold, and now many many parking tickets, one main one harassing is parking EYE, even though she has sent into them proof that the car was sold and produced to PARKING EYE a letter from DVLA, they are threatening Court action. Call there Biuff? or let it go to Court and claim harassment?.

Harassment is a big reach at this stage.

I think one moral of this story (and the same story on another current thread) is that when selling a car, you must take and keep full details of the buyer, as well as ensuring that you post the seller's part of the V5 to DVLA.
Your granddaughter should stand firm, giving her explanation clearly and calmly each time.
And get the change of owner registered at DVLA - and backdated to the actual date of sale if they will do that.Lawyer (solicitor) - retired from practice, now supervising solicitor in a university law clinic. I do not advise by private message.
