    2nd CCJ for same debt - help needed

    HI,

    I have received a court pack as Equivo acting on behalf of Natwest are trying to bring a CCJ against me however i already have a CCJ in approx 2008 for this debt through Irwin Mitchell on behalf of Natwest. Can a 2nd CCJ be registered for the same debt?

    No. You should file a defence explaining this and ask the court to strike out the second action.

      Thank you for your advice.

      If i return the defence form to the court in the first instance advising that NatWest has already secured a CCJ against me for this same debt and for the court to strike out this 2nd action. Will that be enough for the court to not continue with this or will i still need to attend a hearing to defend myself?

      Sorry for the continued questions, i don't have a clue what i'm doing!
