Tenant was evicted - BUT they then disputed non refund of deposit which was used against repairs - I paid the balance - never received a receipt - Because of deposit dispute landlord would not issue one - since then they have refused to release me from being a guarantor until 6 months had passed - the date has now passed and the landlord will still not release me from this obligation even thou all costs have been paid - where do I stand?

When you paid, did you do so on the basis that it would be a full and final settlement of all claims?
